Isabella Kemp

Program Associate - FeedHV

Raised in the Berkshires of Western Massachusetts, Isabella grew up surrounded by local farms and exceptional food sources. Her family held a CSA membership from the time she was born, and she has been canning and pickling fresh produce since childhood. For several years, she worked with farmers and land trusts to research farm capacity and land ownership, develop websites and integrate social media into the local food, land conservation and sustainability sectors.

Isabella spent four years in the Pioneer Valley studying Environmental Science & Policy at Smith College, where she developed a strong interest in local food systems and food access policy. While at Smith, she collaborated with the City of Northampton on her "Greening Green Spaces" capstone to rewild turf spaces throughout the city. She also spent summers working with the Berkshire Natural Resources Council, New Marlborough Land Trust and Woven Roots Farm & Community Center, creating planning and marketing strategies to support their missions.

Since first joining HVADC as a FeedHV intern in the summer of 2024, Isabella now serves as a Program Associate dedicated to expanding food access and food security in the Hudson Valley. She deeply enjoys strengthening connections within the local food system and working alongside farmers, food makers and community volunteers.
