les collines is a small batch, locally sourced jelly and preserves company founded by Brigid Dorsey, who is a participant in the Hudson Valley AgriBusiness Development Corporation (HVADC) Farm and Food Business Accelerator (FFBA) program.

Located in a small Washington County town called Argyle, is new goat dairy and goat cheese producer Moxie Ridge.

​This year, HVADC has joined the host committee of the third National Farm Viability Conference, working with The Vermont Farm and Forest Viability Program (VFFVP), GrowNYC, the American Farmland Trust (AFT), Cornell Small Farms Program and Kitchen Table Advisors to present the May 22-14 conference in Albany.

We in the Hudson Valley are very fortunate. Not only do we have an abundance of natural resources, but also a wealth of young, passionate and energetic individuals who have moved to the area to take up the age-old tradition of agriculture.

Hudson Valley Restaurant Week (HVRW) is a two week promotion hosted by The Valley Table magazine designed to bring diners to restaurants during slow periods and to incentivize them to try new eateries.

David and Diane Allen of Lavenlair Farm in Washington County are participants in HVADC’s Farm & Food Business Accelerator Program (FFBA).

It’s no secret that farming is a tough job. That passion, dedication and lots of hard work are essential goes without saying, but for young farmers, even those that are successful, that is not always to enough to enable them to fulfill the dream of owning their own farm.

Dylan Dembeck, of Minkus Family Farms (MFF), is a participant in HVADC’s inaugural Farm & Food Business Accelerator Program (FFBA). Dylan is Food Safety Officer and Director of Business Development at MFF, as well as the son-in-law of MFF founder Rick Minkus.

The HVADC Farm & Food Business Accelerator, launched in fall 2016, is an intensive mentoring and training program for Hudson Valley farmers and food entrepreneurs seeking to scale their business, gain access to capital, and build sales.
