HVADC Program: Hudson Valley Bounty

Mar 16, 2026

Growing in More Way Than One

Since 2010 HVADC’s Hudson Valley Bounty has provided farms and food businesses in the continuum of eight Hudson Valley counties free marketing exposure through its robust search portal. The initiative was first introduced in 2010 as an offshoot of Columbia County’s Bounty program, and then combined with neighboring counties. The site was updated in 2016 and rebranded and expanded in 2023 and now encompasses Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Orange, Rensselaer, Sullivan, Ulster and Washington Counties.

Bounty “Membership” is open and free for all farms, nurseries, wineries, craft beverage producers, value-add product producers, farmers’ markets, food and beverage trails, restaurants, caterers, event venues, retail and grocery markets, and wholesale distributors in those counties. It has become the region’s go-to resource for local food and farm offerings, searched by a mix of chefs, local consumers, tourists, foodies, retailers, and wholesale buyers from across the Tri-State area. Users are able to search for food businesses, by name, business type, county, product type, how to purchase, experience, production methods and certifications and business structure.

A Season of Growth and Expansion

Based upon Member and user feedback, recent updates to Hudson Valley Bounty are expanding search function and providing more ways for users to find businesses. There are now new search categories which will provide even more exposure for nurseries and growers, and for farms producing fiber, grains and beans. New dietary restrictions and accessibility search functions have also been added, which all Bounty Members can add to their listings.

Since the 2023 redesign the Bounty Member business listing have grown to include over 360 enterprises. The portal has since been promoted to potential users through regional print and digital media as well as farm business-directed events. Annually, over 22,000 visitors search Hudson Valley Bounty to find their next food experience.

“We see an uptick in new businesses joining Bounty and existing businesses updating their listings during this time of the year,” reports Linnette Diaz, HVADC Program Associate, who manages the Hudson Valley Bounty program. “Having a little time before the season fully begins, it’s a great opportunity to add new information, logos, and photos, and to review listings to ensure everything is accurate.”

More than just a search portal, for users, the Hudson Valley Bounty website also features tips about which food products are in season through the region, a local food glossary and guides to farm and food certification programs. Listing Members also have the opportunity to be featured on Hudson Valley Bounty social media, consumer email newsletters, and have access to Hudson Valley Bounty’s weekly curated Farmer newsletter containing information on grant and financing opportunities, training workshops, and events.

“So many of our Members now host a variety of fun events that cover the spectrum, and we always encourage them to send us information about them. We include that information in our consumer-directed biweekly newsletters to Bounty Friends, and they are very well read with high open rates,” Diaz mentioned.

Getting listed on Hudson Valley Bounty is free, convenient and easy to implement. Creating a user account only takes a few minutes and adding a business’ profile could be done in 15-30 minutes. Food businesses are able to include as much or as little information as they would like about location, business type, products and services, hours of operation, how to purchase, production methods, and more. Including photos and logos are encouraged as well.

Growing in size and functionality, Hudson Valley Bounty is ready to meet the upcoming high-traffic season. Learn more at https://hudsonvalleybounty.com.
