Finish Strong: Practical Farm Recordkeeping

While the season may be coming to an end, and you still have winter chores to accomplish, this is also a good time to start to prepare for the upcoming tax season. You’ve been busy, and receipts pile up, invoices are in a separate stack (hopefully), and it’s time to organize everything for accountants, tax preparation, lenders, and to get a good eye on next year’s planning.

NCAT ATTRA (National Center for Appropriate Technology and Appropriate Technology Transfer for Rural Areas) recently shared this article for farmers and ranchers with some good advice as to how to get organized, how not to let it overwhelm you, how to manage your accounting function and how to get prepared to finish the year strong and ready to plan for next year.

If you are feeling overwhelmed by year-end accounting, this is an informative article to read. Visit https://tinyurl.com/4jja5xtc.
