Klocke Estate, Claverack, NY

Working with HVADC since 2017, John Frishkopf’s sprawling soil-to glass brandy distillery, farm and dining destination Klocke Estate opened in 2024 to rave reviews. But it was a long road getting there. Initially HCADC supported Frishkopf by making connections with the right resource and making introductions to the local players in the craft beverage scene and key economic development contacts.

Along the way, Frishkopf also secured a seven-year permanent working capital loan from the HVADC Agribusiness Loan Fund. That funding was vital to getting Klocke the critical equipment needed to get the farm, distillery, tasting room and event space off the ground.
