Carrie Jones Ross Food Security Development Manager
Carrie Jones Ross is the Food Security Development Manager for HVADC. Carrie is the program administrator for FeedHV Food Rescue Network for HVADC; a network to rescue, harvest, process and distribute local food. She also works on Farm to School initiative, grant researching and writing, as well as writing the monthly Cultivator newsletter stories.
Carrie has a background in hunger alleviation through her roles of food sourcing and initiating the Food Bank Farm Stand program for the Food Bank of the Hudson Valley. She served as a volunteer, board member and chair for over a decade for a daily soup kitchen in Kingston. Carrie continues to volunteer for other food pantries and feeding programs as well. Carrie served as chair of Ulster County’s Disaster Response and Recovery’s Feeding subcommittee, and is currently a member of Dutchess Putnam Westchester NY Farm Bureau. Carrie has also been a newspaper journalist in the mid-Hudson Valley region for 16 years-- writing human interest and feature stories that often included a myriad of agricultural and hunger-related issues- and is a graduate of Marist College, with a Bachelor’s of Science in Professional Studies and Communications.
