Our vision is for a prosperous Hudson Valley community consciously investing in resilient agriculture and viable local food systems.
Our mission is to provide innovative solutions that create dynamic agricultural entrepreneurship, support sustainability and climate resiliency and enhance economic growth in the Hudson Valley. Philmont Cooperative
The purpose of the kitchen is to foster connections among local farmers, chefs, processors, bakers, caterers, educators and emerging local food businesses. Kitchen producers can explore new business ideas with minimum capital investment. This allows farmers and food entrepreneurs to add value, prepare foods to-go, and accelerate their businesses directly to the consumer.
Commercial Community Hub
On the first floor of the commercial hub, we have the Poughkeepsie Shared-use Commercial Kitchen available for community rental--anyone can rent the kitchen space for events, cooking classes, catering prep, etc. We also have a coffee house seating area with North River Roasters selling drinks and light refreshments M-F from 8:00am-4:00pm. The coffee house space is also available for rentals for community events, conferences, workshops, lectures, meetings, etc.
Additional to the first floor, we have artist and print-making studios and youth arts programming on the 2nd and 3rd floor. We hope that the first floor could be used as a community asset to build towards a sustainable food economy in the Hudson Valley.
